Back in Rehearsals

Well had to take a little break – but glad to say I’m back and have started rehearsing again – also with a new line up, which will be announced soon – though still of few of my Soul City Foundation family are on board. I also had to shelve all live plans for this summer, but hope to be performing live again in the autumn/fall – Thanks for the love and soulful support

Blue Eyed Soul is released on Friday 26th October and features a blend of soul styles, vibes and influences ranging from the Motownesque “Sweet Soul Music” and the funktified groove of “Night Train” to the Chic-ness of “All Is Fine In New York City”.
The album was recorded on both sides of the Atlantic, with the final production and mixing at Puzzle Maker Studios in Bristol. It features not only top class musicians, but amazing gospel singers and choirs, a touch of Soul II Soul and even a little bit of Blondie. The ten track album features eight original tracks, along with two cover versions from Kem (Love Calls) and Lynden David Hall (Do I Qualify).

My first ever visit to Scotland and after a wonderful time in Edinburgh at the festival, I had the honour to perform at the Special Olympics Opening Ceremony at the Forthbank Stadium in Stirling on Thursday 9th August. I performed a revamped 2018 version of “Living Our Dream” – remixed by Puzzle Maker Studio’s Andrea Succi and also the new single “Night Train”,in front of over 6,000 people and it was amazing !! Also performing on the line up was Max Murphy (The Voice), the wonderful Horse McDonald and none other that the Red Hot Chilli Pipers. What made it perfect was the fact my buddy Gail Porter co presented too !! Love meeting the athletes and the families and very proud to be involved and invited !!

I’m so happy to tell you all that the album “Blue Eyed Soul”, which has been in making over the past 5 years, has been finished. The last few vocals additions, by the stunning Gospel singer Alice Cann, were made at Puzzlemaker Studios in Bristol a few weeks back Basic RGBand now it’s down to the wizardry of the producer Andrea Succi, to mix and hopefully, all being well, it should be out in June. I’ve had so many people involved and although it’s seem to have taken FOREVER, I am so happy with the end result.

Thank to all involved and for making my dreams come true…………………….

I’m so happy, despite the arctic conditions, to be back in New York to promote my new single and forthcoming album and will be appearing for the third time on Friday 5th January on the Ginger NY chat show.  I first met the host Ginger Broderick, whilst recording an off broadway cast CD in 2015 and since then have become good friends, so am always happy to be on the her show. I also met Clayton Bryant that day, who features on “Blue Eyed Soul” and who has performed with the very best in the musical world – so yeah New York feels right for me right now !

I’m so excited to be performing at the iconic Pump Rooms in Bath as a special guest at the VIP Dinner for the launch of Achieve. Achieve is the inspiration of my friend and TV Presenter Martin Roberts. Whilst in the jungle in I’m A Celebrity, Martins life and health changed dramatically, inspiring him to create his new Achieve exhibition. The exhibition will have 14 leading celebrity speakers including Ruby Wax, Frank Bruno, Sir Ranulph Fiennes over the weekend of 14th & 15th October and we’ll be headlining the very special VIP Dinner after drinks around the Roman Baths – Soulful Achieve-ment x
